IMI Level 2 award in Electric/hybrid Vehicles routine maintenance activities
The content of this qualification has been designed to give the learners the knowledge and skills required to work safely on Electric/Hybrid vehicles whilst carrying out routine maintenance and repair activities (not voltage components or systems). This may include vehicles that may have or had damage to their high energy/electrical system.
COURSE OVERVIEW
It contains one mandatory unit covering knowledge of:

- electric/hybrid vehicle system components and operation
- hazards surrounding electric/hybrid vehicles
- how to reduce the risks to yourself and others when working on electric/hybrid vehicles
- safely preparing the vehicle when carrying routine maintenance (NOT high voltage components or systems)

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
This course is suitable for anyone who might, in their day to day work, come into regular contact with Electric/Hybrid vehicles. As employers you have a responsibility for anyone handling electricity as part of their job role.
WHAT EXISITING KNOWLEDGE IS NEEDED?
No previous qualifications are required, but a general knowledge of vehicles is useful.

Work within the motor industry - proven experience and able to demonstrate skills.
Theoretical, Practical and online multiple choice examination.
Typically, 4 to 6 weeks.
We will talk you through site facilities and if you prefer your own car, we will try to accommodate.
No, we provide all safety equipment and you will use specialist-insulated tools, however as personal preference you may wish to bring your own, which are also available to buy from our shop. Your own PPE will be checked and confirmed by the Trainer for use and suitability.
