IMI TechSafe CPD routes are designed to maintain your IMI TechSafe recognition.
These courses are designed to support various learning needs. By completing all three, you will meet the minimum requirement of 18 hours of CPD. Each course can be taken independently.
Achieving the IMI TechSafe recognition within the IMI's Professional Register demonstrates your competence, trustworthiness, and dedication to learning and developing expertise in critical new automotive technologies, including Electric/Hybrid vehicles, Hydrogen vehicles, and ADAS-equipped vehicles.
IMI TechSafe is so much more than just professional recognition...
- A platform that encourages you to stay up to date, ensuring you're always at the forefront of vehicle technologies through your commitment to mandatory CPD requirements.
- A tool that helps you ensure compliance with government regulations such as the UK's Electricity at Work Act 1989.
- A way to instil confidence in your customers, colleagues, or employers in your ability to work safely with these emerging technologies.
- A testament to your commitment to safety and professionalism in the automotive industry.
- A badge of honour that you can display with pride.
Be proud of your achievements, be professional, and be IMI TechSafe.
Retaining your IMI TechSafe recognition
A vital aspect of the Professional Register and IMI TechSafe is ensuring members remain current in their knowledge, skills, and competency. Therefore, CPD is required to maintain IMI TechSafe recognition. We’ve streamlined this process so that any CPD you complete with the IMI is automatically logged, allowing you to focus on other priorities. You must complete your CPD with an approved Awarding Organisation and be aligned with the CPD framework, set and agreed upon by the IMI and the IMI TechSafe Sector Advisory Group.
