The content of this qualification has been designed to give the learners the knowledge required to work safely around vehicles containing ADAS technology. It contains one mandatory unit covering:
- The types of ADAS systems and sensors available, and Health, Safety and legal requirements
- The basic interaction between ADAS systems associated with vehicle powertrain, steering and braking systems
- The potential impact on the correct operation of vehicles fitted with ADAS systems by inappropriate actions of individuals
- The appropriate action to take should damage be caused to an ADAS system or components
