This qualification is designed to deliver the right knowledge and skills to work safely on Electric/Hybrid vehicles during maintenance and repair activities.
This can include vehicles that are damaged due to high-energy/electrical systems. Please note that it does not include voltage components or systems.
Course Overview: IMI Level 2 Award in EV Routine Maintenance
This one-day course delivers a variety of important knowledge to ensure efficient preparation for EV maintenance. This unit covers:

- Electric/hybrid vehicle system components and operation
- Hazards surrounding electric/hybrid vehicles
- How to reduce the risks to yourself and others when working on electric/hybrid vehicles
- Safely preparing the vehicle when carrying routine maintenance (NOT high voltage components or systems)

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
This course is suitable for anyone whose work may bring them into regular contact with electric or hybrid vehicles, including during routine maintenance or repair activities. As an employer, you have a duty of care to ensure that anyone handling electrical systems does so safely, a responsibility that is particularly important in the automotive industry.
WHAT EXISTING KNOWLEDGE IS NEEDED?
No previous qualifications are required, but a general knowledge of vehicles is useful.
