MOBILE TYRE FITTING COURSE OVERVIEW: DESIGNED FOR TECHNICIANS
Our tyre fitting course is specifically designed for technicians operating from a mobile base (van setup). Delivered as part of the NTDA Tyre Technician Professional Development Scheme, it includes comprehensive training on roadside wheel changing procedures, aligned with REACT recommendations.
By completing this course, technicians gain essential skills for safe, professional tyre fitting in mobile and roadside environments, while ensuring full REACT compliance.
What The Course Covers:
- Tyre fundamentals: history, construction, types, markings, labelling, new EV tyres.
- Safety & compliance: Tyre law, health & safety, C&U Regs, risk assessment, EV jacking safety.
- Practical skills: fitting, balancing, repairs, inspections, roadside procedures.
- Customer care: communication, service professionalism.

Tyre Fitting Training Course Aims
This course aims to ensure that technicians and customers are both safe and that the standard of work completed is based on the relevant occupational standards. As a result, technicians will gain the confidence for understanding and implementing safe and easy tyre fitting practices.
What's the course pre-requisites?
You'll need a minimum of one year's experience in tyre fitting, a fully equipped mobile tyre fitting vehicle, and a valid driving licence.
Who is the course for?
Tyre Technicians who work or may work from a mobile tyre fitting vehicle fitting car/van /LCV and 4X4 tyres.
Anything else we need to mention?
The NTDA Licence has a five-year life after which refresher training will need to be undertaken.
In addition to other NTDA training, we also have an NTDA license course for working with roadside breakdowns and safety practices.
