Autotech Training recently took part in Autotechnician magazine’s Workshop Takeover, held at Cleevely EV in Cheltenham, where around 30 technicians and workshop owners gathered to gain valuable insights into improving fault-finding on both combustion and electrified vehicles.
As part of the event, Autotech Training’s ADAS specialist trainer, Pete Ivory, delivered a presentation on Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). His session provided practical guidance for those considering ADAS work now or in the future and helped attendees understand the key considerations when passing this work on to others.
While ADAS technology is becoming standard in modern vehicles, many workshops lack the knowledge and skills needed to service and calibrate these systems safely and effectively. Autotech Training is proud to be one of the only training providers in the UK capable of delivering IMI-accredited ADAS training directly on-site, thanks to a strategic partnership with TOPDON UK. Using mobile ADAS calibration units, we can deliver training at a garage’s premises – even if they don’t currently own ADAS equipment – making it easier than ever for businesses to upskill their teams and meet growing demand.
Events like the Workshop Takeover play a vital role in helping the aftermarket stay ahead of rapidly advancing vehicle technologies. By bringing ADAS expertise directly to workshops, Autotech Training continues to support the industry in improving road safety and ensuring technicians are fully prepared for the vehicles of today and tomorrow.
