NTDA LICENSED ELECTRIC VEHICLE TYRE TECHNICIAN (LEVTT)
This licence is for those Tyre Technicians who regularly replace or repair tyres on EV vehicles, and who have been trained and assessed as fully competent based on the syllabus below and in accordance with the requirements of the relevant occupational standards as covered in the IMI L1 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Awareness.
COURSE OVERVIEW
This course covers:
- 
- The types of electric/hybrid vehicles available
 - Hazards associated with motor vehicle high-energy electrical systems
 - Working safely around electric and hybrid vehicles, including charging
 - Tyre Construction
 - Tyre-specific information on EV tyres
 - Tyre repair standard BSAU159g
 - Electric vehicle jacking best practice
 - Safe working practices for fleet checking
 
 
As a result, technicians successfully completing this course will acquire significant core knowledge of working safely around, but not mechanically maintaining, electric and hybrid vehicles.
Certificates to accompany all licences will be issued. The certificate issued with the LCTT licence will be issued showing the categories in which an individual has been assessed as a competent practitioner and in which they have demonstrated the relevant working knowledge.
